For more than 40 years, the Pioneer Farm Family Awards program has honored farm families in Nebraska whose land has been owned by the same family for 100 years or more. Nearly 5,200 families in 91 counties have been honored since inception. This program is co-sponsored by the Knights of Ak-Sar-Ben and the Nebraska Association of Fair Managers.
Program deadline each year is May 1st with plaques and gatepost markers being presented at the Jefferson County Fair in Fairbury, Nebraska.
