Jefferson County Fair Photo Contest

Contest Theme for 2026 ----

"A Place I Like"

Could include a photo of any place somewhere on this earth.

Amateur photographers only.

Prints can be 5 X 7 up to 16 X 20 inches.

Prints must be mounted on foam core or mat board with name, address and phone number on the back side.

NO HARD FRAMES

Photographs can be Black and White or Color (Limit 2 entries per person)

DEADLINE: Thursday July 9, 2026 

at 11:00 A.M.

Enter pictures in the Merchants Building 

at the Fair .

AWARDS: The first two places will be awarded a $50 bond. Special ribbons for other places.

Miss Jefferson County 2026

The Miss Jefferson County Pageant is a scholarship program that provides a scholarship for a women's education after a year-long reign of service to the community of Jefferson County. 

Contestants must be available from July 6th-12th.  A general overview/practice will take place Monday (July 6th) at Fairbury High School in the evening. On Tuesday, July 7th, contestants will read an essay on their community service projects as well as participate in an interview with our judges. The pageant will take place on Wednesday, July 8th at Fairbury High School. This part of the pageant will be the on-stage question and the evening gown portion. Miss Jefferson County and all other title awards will be crowned that evening follow the pageant at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds. 


The new Miss Jefferson County will have the opportunity to receive up to a $1000 scholarship. The new Miss Jefferson will need to be present at the fair throughout the weekend of July 9th-12th.


In order to be eligible to compete you must have completed your freshman-senior year of high school, live or attend school within Jefferson County, be single (not married, and without children)


Upon crowning-Miss Jefferson County will be asked to sign a contract adhering to Miss Jefferson County rules.
